Order and Disorder in 2-D Cellular Automata with Heterogeneous Rules

| Abstract | |
| We constructed cellular automata (CA) with heterogenous rules that interact with each other. This model showed the different patterns in the landscape under some conditions. Although the model is constructed only by deterministic rules except an initial condition, chaotic as well as ordered states can co-exist in the process of evolution. This outcome suggests to us that the set of heterogeneous rules in the model is essential to construct complex systems without random noise, in order to demonstrate the behaviour of complex systems. | |
